Job Description:

Summary:

Manually sets up ceremony site, reception site, and all meeting rooms ensuring the guests’ expectations are exceeded.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

  • Understands adheres to the Ponte values and service standards.
  • Ensure the safety of guests and other associates.
  • Greet guests with a smile and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Set up all meeting and event rooms to exceed the guests’ expectations and ensure guest safety. This includes considerable physical activity in transporting awkward and heavy materials such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, etc., from storage area to meeting and event rooms.
  • Communicate with supervisor throughout shift to ensure efficiency.
  • Break down all meeting and event rooms when requested by supervisor.
  • Maintain established cleaning schedule of meeting and event rooms so the rooms are guest ready at all times.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.

Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to treat other associates and guests in a respectful manner.
  • Exhibits integrity (honesty and truthfulness).
  • Has attention to detail and the ability to follow direction and abide by standard operating procedures.
  • Courteous and has the ability to smile spontaneously.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in English.
  • Self-starting personality and able to work with little direction.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Must be willing to 'pitch-in' and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
  • Knowledge of various types of equipment and set up styles used in the meeting rooms. For example: different table types (round, schoolroom, etc).
  • Ability to lift and move multiple tables and chairs and podiums weighing up to 100 lbs. through a crowded room.
  • This position requires considerable physical activity on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
